Ideal: Diesel generator maintenance.

Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a remote Field Service Technician role, covering their Dallas TX territory. Remote role, can live anywhere in Texas (within 1 hour of a major airport.)

This role is HIGH TRAVEL - 80-90%. Travel is 3 weeks per month, typically 2-3 days per week. (Usually will have 3-4 days off during one week.)

** Remote role: you MUST live within 1 hour of a major airport **

Power generation b/g, exp with load banks or adjacent product lines would be ideal and will give you a huge advantage over other candidates.

Compensation: $100K total ($75K base + 7% bonus + 1.5/hr rate for OT)

What You Will Do :

Perform field service to install, commission, repair, and troubleshoot load bank products installed at customer sites. Will travel to customer sites, troubleshoot product, and perform repairs as needed. When not on a customers site, this position will be responsible for performing product repairs in the factory, or communicating with customers to help troubleshoot products remotely.

  • Perform and document all maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems, repairs or replaces defective units/components as appropriate.
  • Use test and diagnostic equipment to isolate malfunctions.
  • Conduct equipment/system acceptance testing following established procedures.
  • Complete customer site trainings and safety briefings as needed.
  • Perform system demonstrations at customer sites and foster positive customer relationships.
  • Prepare and document the details of resolution to the problem from each customer site upon completion of the visit.
  • Troubleshoot and repair product that has been returned to the factory service center.

Education and Work Experience:

  • At least 4 years U.S. Military experience required – prefer EMs with Medium to High electrical/high-voltage application. Ideal: Diesel generator maintenance
  • 3+ years of Field Service experience (preferably in the power generation or backup power industry)
  • STRONG client interfacing skills.
