Supervisory Scientific Data Analyst

📍 Onsite | Bethesda, MD (NIH Campus)

🕒 Part-Time | 30 hours/week | Monday–Friday

We’re seeking a highly accomplished scientific leader in data analytics and genomics to join our team in Bethesda, MD. This role is 100% onsite and offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of neuroscience, genetics, and cutting-edge data science.

What You’ll Do

As a Supervisory Scientific Data Analyst , you will:

• Lead high-level statistical analyses of large-scale genomic and neurogenetics datasets.
• Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary team of data analysts and scientists.
• Oversee development of data pipelines for genome-wide association studies (GWAS), sequencing, and phenotypic analysis.
• Collaborate with NIH researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders on priority data-driven projects.
• Publish findings in top-tier journals and represent NIH research at international conferences.
• Drive the data strategy and promote innovation in neurogenetics and computational biology.

Who You Are

Minimum Requirements

✅ PhD in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, or a related field

✅ 10+ years of experience in genome-related data analytics and scientific data management

✅ 100+ peer-reviewed publications, focused on statistical methods in neurogenetics

✅ H-index of 100 or more (Google Scholar)

✅ Expertise in R, Python, or other statistical programming languages

✅ Familiar with large-scale genomic data tools (e.g., GATK, PLINK, GTEx, dbGaP)

✅ Strong track record of leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration

Preferred

⭐ Experience within NIH or a comparable research institution

⭐ Familiarity with neurogenetic disease models and clinical-genomic integration

⭐ Project management or supervisory experience in a scientific setting
