Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual and/or onsite interviews to gather and analyze all necessary information and documents related to the investigation
  • Engage critical thinking, and decision-making as to relevant findings of any illegal or inappropriate activities with respect to state or federal laws, regulations and/or company policies
  • Prepare concise investigation reports outlining the allegations asserted, a review of relevant policies/statements/documents, etc. and the investigation findings
  • Demonstrate full utilization of case management system to input and track cases
  • Perform data analytical work including creating customized reports for partners and stakeholders that identifies trends and opportunities
  • Foster innovation and work collaboratively to ensure best practice investigative techniques and protocols
  • Apply knowledge of policies, practices, laws and regulations to collaborate with internal business partners to help drive the investigation process
  • Serve as liaison among all stakeholders in the investigation to ensure awareness and alignment
  • Communicate clear rationale/justification for investigation processes and outcomes to appropriate stakeholders
  • Provide status updates on complex ongoing investigations, as needed
  • Stay current on relevant compliance updates and investigation best practices
  • Partner with key stakeholders and HRBP's and/or People Partners on continuous improvement projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 4 to 6+ years of employee relations/human resources experience with 3 years of employment-related investigation experience 
  • In depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws including Title VII, FMLA, and ADAAA
  • Case management system experience 
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with senior managers on complex cases, disciplinary and termination issues
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • A commitment to teamwork, collaboration and professionalism
  • Ability to travel, as required

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for Normal, CA based applicants: $89,000 - $112,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law)

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
